If we could sum up BeachPath Press in one word it would be escape. We publish books that allow the reader to escape to that warm soothing beach in their mind, if not in reality. Relaxation, beach, wave, calming water, soothing rhythms, vacation, escape are a few words to use when thinking of the image that the logo should portray or feeling it should provoke.

Any colors are fine but it should have a white background. And it should be able to printed in black/white or greyscale without losing meaning.

The logo should be an image with the words BeachPath Press by it, most likely below or to the right of the image. The logo will be printed on the spine of books and so probably needs to be square, circular or tall rectangle in the basic format with the words beneath it.
The typical images that come to mind are a beach path, naturally, waves, water, palm tree, flip flops and barefeet. The path imagery would be good to have in the image but is not necessary if the logo is strong enough by itself. For example, a stylized image of a flip flop wouldn't need a to be shown with a path since it is kind of implied.
We are looking for a clean, simple, iconic image and matching font.
