A brand new folk festival - the first of its kind on Prince Edward Island. A fun, upbeat three-day event. A simple idea, but with a fresh, modern design - right in the heart of a small town on the water. All kinds of music, all ages of people, all sorts of whimsical fun.

We'd like the colour scheme to be simple enough that the logo can easily be reproduced in black and white. 2 or 3 colours would probably be the maximum. We are picturing bright, summery, earthy colours. Cloggeroo will be here on Prince Edward Island. PEI is an island on the Atlantic coast of Canada, and is characterized by blue water (lots of beaches), rolling green hills, and rich red soil. We'd like the logo colours to be summery, bright, and fun, like the Island.

We have had a lot of brainstorming sessions and had a few mock designs created.
We know that we do NOT want a banjo or a fiddle - when we saw those mock-ups, it seemed to suggest too narrow a range of musical style.
We tossed around several ideas that could be considered, or not - we are not attached to any of them. These include a guitar; a stylized abstract-ish music note; a crowd of people dancing; sunshine; shoreline or other water reference.
The tag line (the Island Folk Festival) could be included in some designs but not others - we'd like a stand-alone "Cloggeroo" logo option and then possibly a version that also includes the tag line. They can be very similar, with the tag line being the only difference.
