This is a logo for a gift store on a summer resort island. The store was opened on the Summer Solstice last June, 2013 - thus the name Solstice! We sell a variety of gifts most having to do with summer, the island, the beach, nautical items and a laid back fun lifestyle. We are located in a tourist destination where people come for vacation and to relax - we would like our logo to be bright, fun colors but also to look classy as we are a nicer gift store NOT a low budget souvenir shop. The logo should be simple but memorable. The logo will be used on a sign, bags, business cards and printed or engraved on some merchandise.

We would like the image of a sun incorporated into our logo - not a picture of a sun from a photograph but something original
We want the logo to look great printed in color and also be able to do print ads with it in black and white. There should not be any shading or color gradients.
