Boundaries That Work
ABOUT THE PROJECT "Boundaries That Work: Six Rules from a Therapist" is a practical, warm, and deeply insightful self-help ebook written by a licensed therapist (Austin Bridges, LPC). Unlike generic self-help books that treat boundaries like a list of aggressive demands you make on other people, this book flips the script. The core concept is that a true boundary is an internal decision about yourself. One that holds firm no matter how the other person reacts. It is about self-possession, peace, and clarity. The book will be featured on my private practice website and on Amazon. The cover needs to instantly communicate trust, professional clinical authority, and approachable warmth. I want it to look like a book you would see prominently displayed in a high-end wellness boutique or a psychology section, rather than a loud, busy, or flashy paperback. THE DESIGN DIRECTION Style: Clean, modern, uncluttered, and grounded. Tone: Firm but kind. Calm rather than aggressive. Typography: The title needs to be highly legible and crisp, even at thumbnail size on Amazon. Thank you so much for your time and creativity. I can't wait to see how you bring this concept to life!
Health
Adults who feel drained, over-committed, or taken advantage of, and who struggle to say no or hold a limit. Broad appeal, leaning slightly female but not exclusively. These are thoughtful readers, not looking for hype. The cover should feel calm, credible, and reassuring, like something a good therapist would hand you. But still interesting to look at.
CREATIVE FREEDOM & METAPHORS I am entirely open to your creative interpretation! If you want to use a visual metaphor for a "boundary", please do. However, I want to completely steer clear of cliché, heavy-handed imagery. Please AVOID: • Brick walls, fences, barbed wire, or stop signs. • "No" symbols or literal hands pushing someone away. • Harsh reds or alarm-style, anxiety-inducing imagery. • Cheesy, dated stock photos. • Anything that feels cold, sterile, or overly clinical. BRANDING & COLORS This book is an extension of my therapy practice, so the cover design must feel cohesive with my existing brand. Please visit my website at https://austinbridgestherapy.com to view my current color palette, aesthetic, and font family (Montserrat). I want the book to feel like it naturally belongs in that digital space. DELIVERABLES REQUIRED • Front Ebook Cover (optimized for digital/Amazon) • Full wrap layout including a spine and back cover (for potential future print runs)
